WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has been officially removed from WWE’s Crown Jewel event this upcoming Friday, as first reported by Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports.
Cena was officially removed from the event last night, and Bryan’s removal will be addressed tonight on SmackDown, which will take him out of the marquee dream match against AJ Styles for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.
According to PWInsider, WWE was discussing Bryan to wrestle WWE Champion AJ Styles at the Performance Center in Orlando and for that match to air during the crown Jewel broadcast, but those plans never moved past general talks.
With Bryan out, Rusev has been discussed as Bryan’s replacement for Crown Jewel.
