Hulk Hogan Discusses Wrestlers Who Have Issues With Return to WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan discussed some of the fallout of his apology to the WWE roster upon his reinstatement to the Hall of Fame, and to the company, following a long suspension for using racial remarks he had made in the past.

While some wrestlers accepted Hogan’s apology, other wrestlers did not, and were critical of Hogan doing it in front of cameras. Some WWE superstars such as Titus O’Neill and the New Day have commented about their stance on Hogan, and their feelings of his apology backstage at WWE Extreme Rules.

“A lot of people accepted my apology and a lot of people heard what they wanted to hear and a lot of the narrative that came out of the meeting was on point” Hogan said, during an appearance on Bill Apter’s podcast. “A lot of the narrative was really different. I was surprised to hear some people interpreted what I said as that I was just sorry I got caught, I’m on camera, whatever they interpreted, but, I never said that.”

It’s not hard to understand why certain people would not be ready to forgive Hogan yet, if ever. Hogan says those people simply “don’t understand the bond and brotherhood of wrestling.”

“Outside the ring, you’re supposed to protect your brother. In this case, it’s a situation where 75, 80, 90 percent of the wrestlers are protecting me and they’re giving me another chance to move forward. There’s just a few wrestlers that don’t understand the bond and the brotherhood of wrestling.”

Hogan seemed upset that none of the wrestlers that took issue with his return, discussed their issues face to face with him.

“If anybody had any questions or anybody had anything to say at that time, I really just wanted them to say it to my face so I could address it,” Hogan said. “Hopefully understand the issue and get them to understand me.”
