Adam Cole Reflects On First Year With WWE/NXT

Published

on

NXT superstar Adam Cole is looking back on his first year with WWE, on the NXT brand, in an interview with Benjamin Raven of MLive.com.

“I always think back to that first night in Brooklyn, where I debuted, and it was this total surprise” Cole said.

“I just remember thinking, ‘I hope they care, I hope they remember me.’ The way they embraced me that night, I knew it was the start of something special.”

Cole also discusses the help and support he has received from SmackDown superstar Kevin Owens.

“Kevin has always gone above and beyond in being supportive of me in my journey. To have him there to support me was awesome. Talk about another friendship that will never go away.”

Cole also talks about starting off with WWE in NXT and not on either SmackDown or RAW.

“NXT is something I really believe in and still do. This is made up of young passionate people that want to make a name for themselves. I wanted to be a part of WWE, and part of NXT first as if I went to Raw or SmackDown right away I would always wonder what NXT would have been like. The coaches, the team and hands-on approach is really cool and I will be able to look back see how happy I was to be a part of this.”

Matt Riddle Talks About Joining WWE/NXT

Published

on

NXT superstar Matt Riddle has been gaining popularity since his landmark signing earlier this year, and during a recent interview with ESPN for their story on the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, Riddle says that he should have been with WWE long before his 2018 signing.

“I moved my family down here, I’ve got three kids and a wife, so it’s nice,” Riddle said.

“I just wrestle in Florida every weekend. We occasionally do tours or TakeOvers, but for the most part, now I get to spend more time with my family. I’m more local, and it’s great. The training here is top-notch,” he continued. “Where I was, I was lucky to even train three times a week, because my schedule was so insane — and I didn’t have the coaches or amenities to do [much more than that].”

“I just feel like I belong here. I felt like I belonged here three-and-a-half years ago when I had my first try out.”
