The weekend was all about ‘All Out’ for AEW, until some media scrum comments from AEW World Champion CM Punk led to a backstage fight between Punk, Kenny Omega, Ace Steel, and Nick and Matt Jackson (The Young Bucks).
During the media scrum Punk trashed former friend and AEW wrestler Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega, and stated once again, “come find me” if you have a problem with him.
The melee marred the event, and now AEW is reportedly starting to take action.
According to Brian Last’s The Wrestling News podcast, Tony Khan has suspended several AEW employees who were in the room for the CM Punk – Elite brawl. While Fightful Select says that several members of the AEW roster expect CM Punk to be released after the way things went down.
