Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes, fresh off his monumental victory over Roman Reigns to capture the WWE Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 40, is already embarking on his next story, and that could include The Rock, who has stepped away from WWE to focus on his Hollywood commitments for the time being.

Rhodes believes that it’s only a matter of time before The Final Boss makes his return to the ring, and there could be a big Rhodes/Rock match in the works.

“I wanna say yes” Rhodes said when asked about a potential Rhodes vs. Rock match.

“I think it’ll really come down to can I be a good champion or a great champion?” Rhodes said during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. “Roman Reigns was a great champion, and will that be enough to entice The Rock?”

Rhodes acknowledged the impact The Rock has had on the industry in the past, and during his latest run, but gave his flowers to the current, and new, generation of WWE talent.

“This run, it’s a whole new generation, a whole new locker room” he said. “Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, myself, Rhea Ripley, all these people. I think the more we keep this, the better we do, the more chances it lures Rock back into the fray.”
