WWE superstar Kevin Owens’ contract is set to expire at the end of the year and while WWE has approached Owens regarding a brand new contract, no deal has been signed as of yet, according to Fightful Select.
Owens, who has been with the company since 2014 following a stellar run on the indie scene and started with NXT, would generate a lot of interest if he were to hit free agency, specifically from AEW who is said to have “major interest” in Owens.
While Owens has not inked a new deal with WWE yet, it appears that WWE will do everything in their power to retain the former Universal Champion who has been a reliable and consistent main eventer throughout his tenure.
WWE has been inking a number of their superstars to new deals, even well before their contract expirations, so they are undoubtedly working on a new deal with Owens.
