Rey Fenix Withdraws From Indie Appearance

Rey Fenix

Rey Fenix, one half of the Lucha Brothers’, recently pulled out of an indie appearance as rumors continue to swirl regarding WWE’s interest in signing Fenix, as well as their interest in signing the tag team once they are done with AEW.

Fenix’s contract is rumored to be expiring this year, although details have been unclear.

However, Fenix had been booked for an event with New Era Wrestling that is set to take place on September 2nd, and with Fenix withdrawing from the event it signals a trend when talents do ink a deal with WWE.

Fenix’s brother, and tag team partner, Penta El Zero Miedo’s AEW is rumored to be expiring this year as well, and while AEW is interested in retaining the tag team is appears that they will end up in WWE.
