Brian Lawler Mislead CNN About Steroids In Wrestling

I just watched Brian Christopher – the son of Jerry Lawler – on Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN talking about the death of Chris Benoit and his family as well as steroid use in the WWE and pro wrestling in general. For a non-WWE employee, he certainly was towing the WWE line. I only caught the last few minutes, but I got to hear him downplay steroid use in wrestling today.

He commented that steroid use was far worse ten to twelve years ago but it’s not as much of a problem now because of the steroid problems in Major League Baseball. What a load of garbage. Is Christopher trying to get his job back in the WWE. I would have expected Anderson Cooper to interview someone who actually has a clue what is going on in the WWE locker room and willing to speak about it instead interviewing the son of the WWE’s mouthpiece.

If anyone has a transcript of the interview, I would be interested to read the whole interview. When confronted about saying he lost 11 friends in wrestling over the years being a lot for someone under 45, he backpedaled saying all wrestlers are his friends so it isn’t that many.
