EC3 Discusses Decision To Leave Impact Wrestling For WWE

Published

New NXT superstar EC3 was one of the hottest free agents since his departure from Impact Wrestling, although his time was limited on the open market as WWE swooped him to sign him to the NXT brand.

EC3 recently conducted an interview with Newsweek and the former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion talked about the decision to end his run in Impact Wrestling/TNA.

“My decision to leave Impact had nothing to with their business or finances and everything with me wanting to challenge myself to something new. Leaving Impact was a very difficult decision as I had six months left on a very lucrative and talent-friendly contract. Anthem lived up to that contract and always treated me with the utmost respect as a businessman and a person.”

Mickie James

Mickie James’ career will carry on as the future Hall of Famer has once again become the Knockouts World Champion following her defeat of champion Jordynne Grace at Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Jill PPV event.

This will mark James’ fifth reign as Knockouts Champion.

James kicked off her Last Rodeo back in September 2022, stating that her career would come to an end the next time that she lost a match. Since then, James has defeated the likes of Mia Yim, Taylor Wilde, and Gisele Shaw, and others as well.

Hard to Kill also saw Masha Slamovich become the new number one contender for the title, setting up a clash with James that may very well be the perfect time to crown a new Knockouts Champion, as Slamovich has been on a meteoric rise of her own.

Chelsea Green Discusses Potential WWE Return

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has been rumored to be making her return to WWE in the near future following her departure from Impact Wrestling, and now she is talking about her potential return to the company.

“I think that I wouldn’t go to AEW, and that’s just a reality for me” Green said, during an interview with WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard.

“It’s not gonna happen. With WWE, I’m really glad that I left on good terms, although I was sad that I didn’t get to fulfill myself creatively as a wrestler. I still had a great relationship with Triple H. I had a great relationship with Vince, so I am really happy that I’m able to hold my head up high knowing there’s an opportunity for me to possibly go back if they decide it’s the time and the place. But this time would be different because I went into it the first time, and I was just so doe-eyed and niave, and just thought that I deserved to be listened to and deserved to be heard.

Now I realize it’s not always like that. And it’s not always wrestling. It just shows business. Acting is the same way. You’re not going to get everything that you ‘deserve’ or everything that you work for, and all you can do is just go in with a totally open mind and just let things happen. So if I did get the chance to go back, and if someone contacted me, I would absolutely have that conversation.”
